Field Service Technician II (AMS)

Job Summary
Performs basic to intermediate maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning of gas compression packages in the field, including learning from and assisting other technicians; participates in on-call rotation, and may travel multi-state with nights, weekends, and holidays. Requires strong mechanical and electrical abilities, use of diagnostic tools, and adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental rules; must submit field/service reports and related paperwork daily. High school diploma or GED with vocational/technical training and 3-5 years of applicable experience are required; valid driver’s license and own tools are necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with minimal vocational/technical training preferred
- 3-5 years applicable experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check and post-offer physical testing
- Valid motor vehicle driver's license
- Have own tools of the trade
- Capability of performing monthly preventive maintenance and minor repairs independently
- Ability to provide preventative and corrective field mechanical service on gas compression equipment on site at end user locations
- Exhibit ability to learn in hands-on and classroom settings
- Proficient with PC and MS Office applications
- Strong mechanical and electrical abilities for service tasks
- Ability to lift, pull, push minimum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to travel (multi-state, nights, weekends, holidays)
- Knowledge of gas compression and production equipment
