Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work at municipal and industrial customer sites. Promote a positive customer experience and serve as the on-site contact for technical and service-related problems. Submit prompt, accurate service reports affecting billing, inventory, and instrument history while following safe work practices. Execute administrative activities in support of service visits and conduct daily travel to customer sites within a 2-hour radius, with 65% of weekly travel including overnight stays. Complete a comprehensive 10-week training period before starting, followed by a 4-day workweek schedule based on workload demand.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience with preventative maintenance
- Technical diagnostics/repair
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to rent a car
- Ability to book hotel rooms
- Ability to rent a car and/or hotel rooms under applicable state law
- Daily travel to customer sites
- 65% of weekly travel will include overnight stays
- Occasional travel to other states within the region
- Trips lasting up to one week at a time
Desired Qualifications
- Associates/technical degree
- 2+ years of field service experience
- Customer-facing roles
- Experience in NEC hazardous locations (Class I Division 2)
