Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work at municipal and industrial customer sites. Promote a positive customer experience and serve as the on-site contact for technical and service-related problems. Submit prompt, accurate service reports affecting billing, inventory, and instrument history while following safe work practices and executing administrative activities. Execute daily travel to customer sites within a 2-hour radius, with an average of 65% of weekly travel including overnight stays. Complete a 10-week training period involving 8 weeks in the field and 2 weeks of classroom-based training.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience with preventative maintenance
- Technical diagnostics/repair
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to rent a car
- Ability to book hotel rooms
- Daily travel to customer sites
- 65% of weekly travel will include overnight stays
- Occasional travel to other states within the region
- US residency
Desired Qualifications
- Associates/technical degree
- 2+ years of field service experience
- Customer-facing roles
- Experience servicing instruments in NEC hazardous locations (Class I Division 2)
