Job Summary
Travel to customer locations for installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medical, industrial, diagnostic, laboratory, OEM, and electro-mechanical equipment. Diagnose failures involving FRUs, modules, boards, power supplies, sensors, motors, wiring, connectors, harnesses, and mechanical assemblies using digital multimeters, hand tools, and approved diagnostic equipment. Follow technical manuals, diagrams, SOPs, and safety requirements while verifying equipment operation after repairs. Complete accurate service reports, work orders, parts records, and customer updates. Communicate professionally with customers, technical support, and Quest service teams. Requires valid driver's license, ability to travel up to 80% including overnight assignments, and physical capability to lift 50 pounds. Must pass a Human Performance Test.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of professional hands-on field service, equipment repair, industrial maintenance, electronics, appliance repair, automotive diagnostics, installation, or related electro-mechanical experience.
- Professional digital multimeter or comparable diagnostic-tool experience.
- Experience working with wiring, connectors, harnesses, circuit boards, electronic components, modules, or mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and service procedures.
- Basic Windows 10/11 troubleshooting, including file management, Task Manager, Event Viewer, network settings, ping, ipconfig, tracert, and Remote Desktop.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle.
- Ability to meet work-related automobile-insurance requirements.
- Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight assignments and changing schedules.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical field-service work, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willingness to accept temp-to-hire employment and complete the Human Performance Test.
Desired Qualifications
- Medical, industrial, laboratory, optical, manufacturing, or OEM equipment service; FRU or component-level repair; oscilloscopes, power supplies, cable testers, or pressure meters; and BMET, electronics, automotive, aviation, robotics, mechatronics, industrial-maintenance, trade-school, or military technical training.
