Job Summary
Field Service Technician I installs, repairs and maintains equipment in the field around the Omaha airport area; provides customer training as required and documents inspections, maintenance and repair work. Responsible for ordering, installing and returning parts, managing repair parts cycle time, reviewing logs, and preparing reports for customers. Supports service sales opportunities and helps promote revenue programs; ensures tools and test equipment are calibrated and maintained. Assesses equipment performance from field data and suggests modifications; provides technical support to customers and other service professionals. May participate in site surveys or pilot program service activities; maintains clear business communication with customers and Product Managers to address needs and trends. Complies with health, safety, and export-control policies; travels as required, including overtime and non-Monday-Friday hours; works at customer sites such as airports, correctional facilities, courthouses, and other locations. Maintains cost discipline and safety, and participates in continuous improvement of service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree/Related Trade Certification (electrical, electronic, mechanical)
- Military Training (electrical, mechanical, electronics)
- Equivalence through 1-3 years related experience in electrical or mechanical field service
- Computer literacy; proficiency in MS Office Suite and ability to learn specialized software
