Field Service Technician I

Job Summary
Troubleshoot equipment issues using tools like multimeters and process calibrators, then complete all associated documentation for service orders. Perform on-site certification and repairs at client facilities in the Boston metro area while maintaining equipment standards per SOPs. Support the development of calibration procedures to meet customer requirements and ensure traceability of measurements. This full-time role requires a High School Diploma and two years of technical field and laboratory experience, with calibration expertise in disciplines such as temperature or velocity preferred. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, and sit for long periods, safely lift up to 50 pounds, and climb ladders to perform repairs in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two (2) years of technical field experience with a proven track record of technical resolutions
- Minimum two (2) years of laboratory-related experience
- Calibration experience in one or multiple disciplines (temperature, velocity, speed, mass, etc.)
- Strong, proactive time management and task management abilities
- Able to effectively complete tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional customer service skills and responsive communication ability
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time
- The ability to safely use equipment provided
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to climb a ladder to perform repairs
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of office and facilities equipment (cleaning products, tools, and ladders) and trash
