Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration/verification of Hach instrumentation at municipal and industrial customer sites. Submit accurate service reports affecting billing, inventory, and instrument history while following safe work practices. Promote a positive customer experience by serving as the on-site contact for technical and service-related problems. Daily travel to customer sites within a 2-hour radius of Dallas, TX, with 65-75% of weekly travel including overnight stays. Complete a 10-week training period combining field work with a dedicated trainer and classroom-based instruction before starting.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience with preventative maintenance
- Technical diagnostics/repair
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to rent a car
- Ability to book hotel rooms
- Daily travel to customer sites
- 65-75% of weekly travel will include overnight stays
- Occasional travel to other states within the region
- US residency
Desired Qualifications
- Associates/technical degree
- 2+ years of field service experience
- Customer-facing roles
- Experience servicing instruments in NEC hazardous locations (Class I Division 2)
