Job Summary
Install, commission, and troubleshoot servo-driven and hydraulic press brake systems in the field. Diagnose and repair servo motors, drives, PLCs, HMIs, hydraulics, and motion control systems, including VFDs, sensors, and safety circuits. Perform system upgrades, retrofits, and software updates while interpreting electrical schematics and control diagrams. Train customers on equipment operation and maintenance, provide technical phone support, and maintain accurate service reports. Communicate recurring issues and findings to Engineering while building professional customer relationships. This role requires extensive travel throughout North America, including 75% time at customer sites, with a 40-hour guaranteed pay structure and 1.5x overtime for weekend or extended hours.
Required Qualifications
- Hands on experience servicing hydraulic/ pneumatic press brakes or similar CNC industrial machinery
- Strong understanding of servo motors, servo drives, and motion control systems
- Experience with PLC-based control systems
- Experience independently diagnosing and troubleshooting
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel to project sites
- 75% travel
- Multiple days or weeks at a customer site until the job is completed
