Field Service Technician - HW - Fort Myers

Perform preventive maintenance and field service work on Varian Medical Systems hardware, primarily focusing on Linear Accelerators and imaging systems within designated service regions. Responsibilities include completing predefined maintenance tasks outside normal business hours per documented procedures, managing a daily/weekly schedule, escalating incidents when needed, and requesting assistance from senior staff. Administrative duties include timely submission of field service work orders and expense reports, managing consignment parts, and maintaining required documentation per VMS procedures. Communicate follow-up actions to the primary assigned representative. Required skills include excellent time management and professional communication with customers and internal teams, strong documentation literacy, and basic technical knowledge of electronic/electro-mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and plumbing. Familiarity with test equipment such as a Digital Multimeter and oscilloscope, and basic PC-based tooling. Maintain vendor credentialing status and ensure access to customer sites while meeting varying client requirements (identity verification, background checks, immunizations, TB testing, and healthcare training). The role emphasizes customer relationship building, escalation procedures, and adherence to company and client credentialing standards in a healthcare technology environment.
