Job Summary
Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including refrigerant recovery, component replacement, and preventative maintenance for fuel dispensers and point-of-sale equipment. Oversee equipment inspections, verify electrical integrity, and document performance metrics while troubleshooting leaks and resolving technical issues at customer sites. Perform routine maintenance on fuel pumps, replace nozzles and hoses, and operate sump pumps and pressure testing equipment. Follow safety protocols, update job systems on laptops or iPads, and maintain a fully stocked company vehicle. Drive to customer locations daily with paid travel time and occasional overnight stays. Requires EPA 608 certification and 1–3 years of hands-on HVAC experience.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of hands-on HVAC experience, including independent diagnostics, repair, refrigerant handling, electrical troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of residential and/or commercial systems
- Mechanical Skills – experience with hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers) and some basic power tools (drills)
- Basic Computer Skills – ability to use laptops and other electronic devices (iPad, phone) proficiently
- Fulfilling the role will require the acquisition and maintenance of a Washington State Electrical Trainee certificate
- Overtime, and On-Call participation is required
- Drive to customer sites and shop locations daily, with occasional overnight stays (paid)
Desired Qualifications
- Current HVAC certification, such as EPA 608 (Universal preferred)
- NATE certification, HVAC Excellence (Professional or Master Specialist), or a Washington State EL06A/EL06B HVAC/Refrigeration electrical specialty license (or ability to obtain)
- Knowledge of basic plumbing (pressure, valves, etc.) and electrical (voltage, AC/DC) concepts
- Prior experience working in the field, hands-on, and with customers
- Experience in relevant industries is a plus (construction, automotive, manufacturing, plumbing, HVAC, electrician, maintenance, etc.)
- Hobbies related to mechanical, automotive, electrical, carpentry, etc. are relevant for the role
