Job Summary
Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software issues in production machinery. Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime, while collaborating with engineering and production teams to resolve complex technical problems. Document service activities accurately and provide technical training to operators on equipment operation and basic maintenance. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing field service tasks. Requires an associate's degree in electronics or mechatronics, three years of troubleshooting experience, proficiency with schematics and PLCs, and a valid driver's license for frequent travel to customer sites.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in electronics, mechatronics, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams
- Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently to customer sites
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CAD software for interpreting schematics
- Certifications in specific manufacturing equipment (e.g., robotics, PLCs)
- Ability to speak a second language relevant to the customer base or equipment origin
