Job Summary
Diagnose and troubleshoot heavy equipment on-site, repairing engines, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems while performing maintenance, rebuilds, and component overhauls. Operate independently to manage service calls, inspect machines, and complete service reports using advanced Caterpillar technology. Maintain focus on safety and customer satisfaction across job sites, utilizing a well-equipped service truck and personal tools. Full-time union position with competitive hourly pay ranging from $37.89 to $47.49, including annual boot and tool allowances.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of heavy equipment or diesel technician experience
- Strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, electrical, and drivetrains
- Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting ability in the field
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload
- Basic computer skills (service systems & documentation)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate a service truck and travel to job sites
