Job Summary
Conduct hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, and equipment decontamination while operating light and heavy equipment, handling various hand tools, and using personal protective equipment in diverse weather and chemical environments. Assist in field sampling activities, inspect drums for integrity, and safely load and unload waste while following all local, state, and federal compliance regulations. Climb ladders and scaffolding, work in confined spaces, and operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT requirements. Maintain health and safety as the top priority by attending compliance meetings and adhering to OSHA standards. This role requires about 50% travel across the United States with rotating on-call duties every other week for emergency response, including weekend and holiday work. Starting pay is $20-$23/hr with comprehensive benefits after 30 days.
Required Qualifications
- Valid drivers license and clean MVR
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to perform physical functions per Key Responsibilities
- Agreeing to be on-call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week
- Agreeing to work on weekends and holidays
- Agreeing to work emergency response situations extending beyond 8 hours up to 12-24 hours
- Successfully complete a background check
- Successfully complete a drug test
- Successfully complete a physical
- Meeting facial hair standards per OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard 29 CFR 1910.34
- Previous relevant labor experience
