Job Summary
Conduct routine preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and utility-scale solar photovoltaic facilities, including DC and AC testing of modules, strings, trackers, and inverters. Interpret schematics to understand system layouts and maintain schedules for equipment upkeep at solar sites. Uphold high safety standards by identifying hazards and complying with OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, and 70B protocols. Provide maintenance and troubleshooting training to technicians as needed. Maintain service reports, inspection documentation, safety paperwork, and spare parts inventory while managing company property. Work outdoors at various job sites, performing tasks that require sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, standing, or walking for 8-10 hours daily, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be willing to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends, and hold a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with electrical systems and components
- Proficiency in using power tools for repair tasks
- Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight
- Valid Driver's License
- Working knowledge and experience operating under OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, and 70B
- OSHA 10 General Industry certificate
- Must have the ability to travel
- Must have the ability to work on-call during off-shift hours
- Must have the ability to work on weekends
- Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk for 8-10 hours a day
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
- PPE personal protective equipment is required
