Job Summary
Conduct routine preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and utility-scale solar photovoltaic facilities, including modules, strings, trackers, and inverters. Perform DC and AC testing for polarity, voltage, grounding, and insulation resistance while interpreting schematics to understand system layouts. Uphold high safety standards by identifying hazards, complying with OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, and 70B, and maintaining service reports, safety paperwork, and spare parts inventory. Maintain a schedule for equipment upkeep at various job sites and provide maintenance training to technicians as needed. Work extended hours including on-call rotations, weekends, and off-shifts, traveling to outdoor locations while lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with electrical systems and components
- Proficiency in using power tools for repair tasks
- Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight
- Valid Driver's License
- Working knowledge and experience operating under OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, and 70B
- OSHA 10 General Industry certificate
- Must have the ability to travel
- Must have the ability to work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
- Must have the ability to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk for 8-10 hours a day
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
