Job Summary
Attend daily department meetings to prioritize work orders, review tickets for route planning, and drive to assigned service areas. Turn water service on and off, read and verify in-ground meters, and inspect for leaks or malfunctions. Identify sewer stoppages, assist in clearing them, and perform minor repairs or pre/post-construction assessments. Install, replace, or remove meters and related components while documenting all work tickets daily. Maintain communication with Customer Service Representatives and check in/out at district boundaries. Requires valid driver's license, physical stamina, and strong customer interaction skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to perform physically demanding work (bending, digging, lifting, stooping, kneeling)
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Excellent communication and customer interaction skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record screening
