Job Summary
Diagnose and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and boom lifts across Baton Rouge, LA, by troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, LP/diesel engine, and electrical system issues. Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and hydraulic gauges to pinpoint problems, perform preventative maintenance, and service multiple brands including Hyundai, Bobcat, Clark, Genie, JLG, and Skyjack. Maintain your service vehicle, tools, and inventory for safety, while participating in manufacturer-certified training and mentoring junior technicians. Promote service offerings like maintenance programs and inspections to support customer equipment reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in forklift, heavy equipment, diesel, or automotive repair
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally and meet the physical demands of the job
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel within the assigned service territory
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
