Job Summary
Field Service Technician for the Generator Division responsible for shop and field repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of diesel and gas generators (including automatic transfer switches, batteries, and load banks). Duties include emergency/unscheduled repairs, scheduled preventive maintenance, interpreting manuals/schematics, using hand and power tools and electrical meters, detecting faulty operations, ensuring safety/compliance, and traveling to job sites with occasional overnight travel. Potential Signing Bonus based on skill level and certifications. Experience with Generac, Caterpillar, Cummins, Kohler, Aksa, Blue Star, or Taylor generators is a plus. Location: Fort Myers, FL.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent (GED)
- 5 to 7 years of related work experience or training or equivalent combination of both education and experience
- Motor Vehicle Record must be in good standing and comply with Company policy
- Experience on Generac, Caterpillar, Cummins, Kohler, Aksa, Blue Star, Taylor generators are a plus
- Ability to lift and/or move heavy objects up to 100 lbs throughout the work day
- Experience with reading schematics and operation manuals for repair and maintenance tasks
- Ability to work in non-climate controlled environments (outdoor weather conditions, wet/humid/extreme heat)
- NFPA 70E protective equipment when applicable
- High School or equivalent (GED)
