Job Summary
Field Service Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel and gas generators in shop and on customer sites, including automatic transfer switches, batteries, and load banks. Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs during and after hours, scheduled preventive maintenance, and interpretation of manuals and schematics. Utilize hand and power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment; read manuals; perform basic math; ensure safety and cleanliness of work areas; drive company vehicle between job sites with occasional overnight travel.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent (GED)
- 3 - 5 years of related work experience or training or equivalent combination of both education and experience
- Motor Vehicle Record must be in good standing and comply with Company policy
- Experience on Generac, Caterpillar, Cummins, Kohler, Aksa, Blue Star, Taylor generators are a plus
