FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Job Summary
Repairs and maintains electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and construction equipment by reading work orders, diagnosing malfunctions from observed operation, and performing mechanical repairs after inspection. Provides solutions and estimates, records repair details on the work order with model/serial numbers, communicates with customers about needed repairs, and ensures the van is clean and professionally presented. Maintains safety by inspecting guards, bolts, and safety devices, lubricating moving parts, and verifying conformance to specifications. Tracks routine maintenance with operations/service manager and submits time cards by 9:00 a.m. daily. Requires a High School diploma/GED, 1-3 months related experience, and a valid driver’s license. Strong reading/writing, math, and computer skills are expected; ability to interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions and to communicate effectively with customers is required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization
- Computer skills including knowledge of internet software
