Job Summary
Field Service Technician responsible for advanced troubleshooting and repair on gas engines and compressors (Caterpillar, Cummins, Waukesha engines and Ariel compressors) across multiple locations. Duties include performing preventative maintenance, leading major maintenance projects (top end, head changes, piston and liner replacement), performing compressor calculations, and using vendor-specific software (Cat ET, Cat SIS, Waukesha ESP, Ariel Performance, Murphy Config Tool) as well as Google Chrome and Outlook. Requires strong knowledge of engines, compressors, electrical systems, controls, skid wiring, and adherence to HSE procedures. Includes on-site field service with a focus on reliability and timely maintenance, with a history of working with production equipment and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience with natural gas engines and compressors
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Gas or diesel engine and compressor school/training preferred
- Thorough knowledge of gas engines and compressors, electrical systems, panel boards, controls, skid wiring
- Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and repair on Caterpillar, Cummins, Waukesha engines and Ariel compressors
