Job Summary

Conduct on-site routine maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities, including DC and AC testing for polarity, voltage, grounding, and insulation resistance. Maintain vehicle, tools, meters, and truck stock while creating service reports and managing spare parts inventory. Identify and eliminate safety hazards, generate operability and downtime reports, and respond to on-call emergencies as directed. Perform DC operations, AC medium voltage system work, and network communications monitoring using specialized diagnostic equipment. Travel up to 100% across North Dallas, East Texas, and Central Texas, adhering to strict safety protocols and working 8-10 hours daily in a field environment.

Required Qualifications

  • NABCEP Certified Installation Professional
  • 3-4+ years of experience PV maintenance, including PV DC operations, AC medium voltage systems, network communications and monitoring
  • Experience with operation of SCADA, DAS and UPS systems
  • Skilled in the use of testing equipment and tools such as Thermographic Electrical Inspection, IV Curve Tracing, Meggers, Ground Fault Detection
  • Experience in all aspects of PV maintenance, including DC systems, AC medium voltage systems, and network communications and monitoring
  • Diagnostic capabilities to troubleshoot and correct problems found
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code and standard design/construction practices
  • Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight
  • Valid Driver's License
  • OSHA 10 HR Training
  • NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in workplace
  • Must have the ability to travel
  • Must have the ability to work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends
  • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
  • PPE personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; hard hat, arc flash protection, safety glasses, hearing protection)
  • Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk for 8-10 hours a day
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
  • Must be able to travel up to 100%
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Must be available for on-call during off-shift hours
