Job Summary
Field Service Technician at Children’s Wisconsin responsible for supporting and maintaining computer hardware and software across a healthcare environment. Provide hands-on technical support, coordinate installations and upgrades, monitor and troubleshoot hardware/software problems, and ensure reliable technology for staff and patient care. Essential duties include desktop hardware and software installation/configuration, software licensing, testing updates, coordinating with the Technical Infrastructure Team, maintaining ticket workflows, generating status/project reports, documenting hardware status, evaluating equipment for upgrades, and providing daily user support and guidance to the Field Services team. Requires strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, LAN/network concepts, and desktop PC management tools; excellent interpersonal and professional skills to interact with hospital staff, vendors, and service providers.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) required
- 2+ years of relevant information systems experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment
- Requires knowledge of LAN architecture, networking concepts, Windows and MAC operating systems, and desktop PC management tools
- Experience with software installations, licensing, and hardware deployment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to provide user support and work with diverse teams
- Ability to follow departmental standards, document procedures, and manage inventory
