Job Summary
Perform troubleshooting and repair of heavy equipment at customer sites, diagnosing engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and related components; service, disassemble/reassemble to factory specifications, and document all work with reports; interact with customers to answer repair questions and refer non-repair questions to supervision; work independently or with a team, maintain a clean, safe work environment, and comply with DOT/CDL requirements; requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience with Caterpillar-equipment service, and the ability to use technical manuals and software; drive capability to obtain CDL and DOT Medical Card; excellent communication and organizational skills; shift flexibility including overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years' relevant heavy equipment field experience
- Excellent driving record and ability to obtain a CDL
- Ability to become DOT certified with DOT Medical Card
- Proficient in use of technical software, databases and manuals
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
