Job Summary
Field Service Technician performs on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations to ensure equipment uptime. Role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, ability to install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues using testing tools and technical documentation, provide on-the-job training to customer maintenance teams, and support field service processes (RMA requests, work orders, expense and trip reports). Requires independent work in the field, strong customer communication, reading technical diagrams, and willingness to travel extensively (approximately 30% of the work week) with valid travel documents. Education includes a High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree in a technical field is preferred, with equivalent field service experience considered. Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment, operate tools safely, and travel to customer sites in Calgary and surrounding areas. The company emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous training.
