Job Summary
Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment while diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software issues in production machinery. Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime, calibrate and test equipment against operational standards, and document service activities accurately. Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on equipment operation and adhere to all safety protocols during field operations. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to travel extensively, and 3+ years of experience troubleshooting complex systems in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate's degree in a technical field
- 3+ years of experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel extensively to customer sites
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CAD software for interpreting technical drawings
- Certifications in specific manufacturing equipment (e.g., robotics, CNC machines)
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for service order management
- Ability to perform basic soldering and circuit board repair
