Job Summary
Field Service Technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, boom lifts, and other warehouse vehicles across customer sites. Travel to customer locations in Chesapeake, VA and Bridgeport, WV using a company-provided service vehicle. Work independently with support from a team, participate in manufacturer-certified training, promote maintenance programs and services, conduct preventive maintenance, and ensure vehicle and tool readiness. Qualifications include hands-on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic repair skills, familiarity with diagnostic tools and software, physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel within the service territory. Mentoring junior technicians when needed and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in forklift, heavy equipment, diesel, or automotive repair
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally and meet the physical demands of the job
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel within the assigned service territory
