Field Service Technician

Job Summary
Diagnose and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, boom lifts, and other warehouse vehicles while troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, LP/diesel engine, and electrical system issues. Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and hydraulic gauges to pinpoint and fix problems, and perform preventative maintenance to keep customer equipment running smoothly. Service multiple brands including Hyundai, Bobcat, Clark, Genie, JLG, and Skyjack, and participate in manufacturer-certified training to stay up to date on equipment and repair techniques. Inspect and maintain your service vehicle, tools, and inventory for safety and readiness, and support and mentor junior techs when needed. Work independently from your company-provided service vehicle heading to customer sites across Chesapeake, Virginia.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in forklift, heavy equipment, diesel, or automotive repair
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally and meet the physical demands of the job
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel within the assigned service territory
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
