Field Service Technician

Job Summary
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel-powered equipment including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems. Perform inspections, test equipment for proper operation, and install or repair new or reconditioned parts. Utilize diagnostic equipment and systems to assist in repairs while completing paperwork such as parts requisitions and service reports. Ensure total customer service through direct interactions and represent Blanchard Machinery with a professional manner. Work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, and wet environments, while using personal protective equipment. Requires standing, lifting, and operating a broad variety of tools and machines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of heavy equipment experience
- demonstrated knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and proper repair procedures
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, operating and maintenance service manuals
- Possess advanced working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems
- Ability to operate lifting devices
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment
- Familiarization of electronic cables, connections, and sensors
- Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
