Job Summary

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical aspects of underground mining equipment at high-profile sites, with a primary focus on bolters, drillers, diesel trucks, loaders, hydraulics, engines, and electrical systems. Commission new equipment and train customers at sites with minimal supervision. Inspect equipment for faults, adjust systems, replace defective components, and test repaired units for operational performance. Maintain accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists while participating in continuous improvement initiatives. Build strong relationships with internal and external customers to ensure satisfaction and compliance with all safety policies. This role covers the Billings, MT market (sometimes Idaho), involves approximately 50% travel via company vehicle, and requires working both underground and on surface. Candidates must possess strong diagnostic skills, knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems, and at least seven years of industry experience including underground work.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical experience to include diesel and high voltage electrical experience
  • Success in team environments

  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States on an indefinite basis without employer sponsorship
