Job Summary
Field Service Technician in the San Francisco Bay Area performing scheduled preventive maintenance on UPS systems, inspecting control panels, and replacing/aligning major components (generators, couplings, clutches). Responsibilities include diagnosing issues with Helpdesk support, logging data via laptop, completing checklists and Field Service Reports, supervising outside contractors and diesel technicians during maintenance, delivering on-site customer service, and maintaining 24/7 short-notice availability with extensive travel (~70%) within a US region and occasional international travel (Mexico, Canada, South America). Compensation ranges from $48-$65/hour with overtime eligibility, 401k match, healthcare, paid time off, holidays, bonuses, per diem, and work truck provided.
