Job Summary
Field Service Technician responsible for maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, gas, and diesel systems on rental equipment; diagnose and repair using schematics and diagnostic programs; travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; assist in training lower level technicians; maintain accurate work orders and documentation; assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts; requires 5+ years of hands-on repair experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, ownership of tools, and the ability to lead others with strong customer service and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
- Ability to trouble shoot and “field repair” a broad range of equipment including air conditioners; 10 to 50 tons, air cooled chillers, diesel engines; 35 to 2200 hp, pump ends; centrifugal, hydraulic and electric, desiccant dehumidifiers; 500 to 1,500 cfm and electrical distribution equipment
- Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems
- Extensive knowledge of equipment
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Ability to lead others
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
