Job Summary
Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of aircraft ground support equipment including deicing trucks and pushback tractors at shop locations in McHenry IL and customer sites across North America. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, assisting customers with repair procedures via CRM tickets and phone calls while adhering to all safety requirements. Collaborate with internal engineering teams in Denmark and Sweden to resolve complex problems and prepare detailed service visit reports. Travel 40-50% of working time, including occasional trips to Europe, working in various field conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Valid Passport or ability to obtain one
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar technician role, field experience and/or airport equipment experience
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing technical equipment
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in field conditions, e.g. outdoors, loud environments, cold and hot weather etc.
- Work in shop settings based in McHenry IL as well as travel up to 40% to work at customer locations at airports throughout North America (almost always home for weekends and holidays, but some exclusions apply)
- High school or equivalent
