Field Service Technician, Battery Storage

Job Summary

Conduct expert-level field repairs, comprehensive maintenance, and advanced system troubleshooting of battery storage equipment at remote ESS installations while traveling up to 75% of the time. Execute routine inspections, commissioning, and preventative maintenance, then respond to service requests to complete work orders and maintain detailed documentation. Manage on-site projects, coordinate with contractors, and develop standard work instructions while identifying safety hazards in high-voltage environments. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and engineering teams to implement process improvements and operate specialized diagnostic tools safely. Requires strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills, proficiency with high/low voltage electrical systems, and the physical ability to lift 50 lbs. in varied outdoor conditions.

  • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills with preference for battery storage / ESS systems
  • Must be able to travel extensively (up to 75%) to remote ESS sites
  • Must be able to perform hands-on electro-mechanical service work with minimal oversight
