Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance on industrial natural gas generators at customer locations, including monthly oil changes, spark plug replacements, filter swaps, valve adjustments, battery checks, and radiator washes. Diagnose and repair engine and electrical system components such as fuel systems, cooling systems, air injection systems, and generator control panels. Troubleshoot 480V electrical output, check diodes, and replace or tune automatic voltage regulators. Maintain fit-for-duty status for each shift and conduct work adhering to company, customer, and industry safety standards. Mobilize generators to and from well sites, performing startup functions including electrical cabling, fuel line connections, and synchronization. Respond to call outs and alarms on a 24/7 basis, including night and weekend shifts. Maintain sufficient parts inventory and communicate professionally with customers and production teams when issues arise.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to pass a background and drug screen
- Ability to comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times
- Experienced background or trade school
- Electrical/generator troubleshooting & repair
- Engine overhaul
- Systematic troubleshooting/problem solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Must have own hand tools
- Availability to work nights and weekends as needed
