Job Summary
Perform or assist with assigned vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers or customer locations. Conduct road tests to ensure repair quality, manage parts operations including ordering and inventory, and document all work for internal and external use. Identify improvement areas, provide feedback to leadership, and support service campaigns. Communicate professionally with customers, families, suppliers, and affiliates across facilities and mobile routes. Maintain high-quality work with minimal supervision while staying current on technical skills and completing required training. This role supports Rivian vehicle repairs in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, potentially requiring travel to the production plant or remote operations based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or other recognized high school equivalency credential
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record, with no driving-related suspensions or revocations within a 3-5 year period
- Must be available for a 40-hour work week, which may include weekends, holidays, and shifts during early morning, evening, or overnight hours based on business needs
- Proficient with laptops or computers in Windows or Mac environments
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., sitting, standing, walking, and frequent use of hands for grasping tools and data entry
- Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.)
- Ability to read and speak fluent English
- Ability to see, read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions or schematics
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or other recognized high school equivalency credential preferred
- Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer is preferred
- Hands-on work experience in an automotive shop
- A background in electric vehicle (EV) or hybrid repair
- Experience in start-up environments
- Experience with parts departments, billing, and work order management systems
