Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment while performing preventative maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operations. Accurately document service calls, parts usage, and labor hours in the company system, then clearly communicate repair status and timelines to customers. Manage truck inventory to maintain stocked parts and tools, responding to service calls in a timely, professional manner while adhering to all safety regulations. Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities, with a willingness to join an on-call rotation as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers, etc.)
- 3-5+ years of experience with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins, prep tables, ice machines, etc.)
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record required
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions
- Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters
- Own industry standard hand tools
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment is a plus
- EPA Universal certification preferred
