Job Summary
Field Service Technician at Plug Power responsible for maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites for electric lift trucks. Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a specific location; execute field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades; provide on-call and emergency support; purchase tools, equipment, and parts; may involve troubleshooting high-pressure hydrogen storage, 480VAC, flammability, cryogenic liquids, and fueling systems. Maintain communication with customer personnel and hydrogen suppliers; document incidents and service logs; enforce safety procedures in the field; travel as required to meet business needs; represent Plug Power professionally. Requires excellent technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently; must provide own tools (fuel cell-specific tools provided by employer). Pay range: $24.50-$28.50 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework
- Three (3) or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Valid driver license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
- Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
