Job Summary
Field Service Technician responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades at customer sites for access control and fire alarm systems within a designated service radius. Will assist the Install Department with site planning, inspections, and system commissioning after construction, organize and prioritize daily service calls, build strong customer relationships through service, training, and support, and collaborate with fellow technicians. Role requires Monday–Friday overnight travel, valid driver’s license, OSHA familiarity preferred, ability to lift heavy objects and operate power equipment, and strong analytical troubleshooting skills. Required Qualifications
- Must be available to travel Monday–Friday weekly
- Valid Driver’s License
- At least 2+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and installing systems (experience with access control systems and/or fire alarms is a plus)
- OSHA certification and/or familiarity with OSHA compliance is strongly preferred
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects as needed & safely climb a ladder up to 30 ft.
- Ability to operate various forms of power equipment such as: aerial lifts, concrete saws, jack hammers, augers, mixers, etc.
- Strong ability to analyze and troubleshoot system issues effectively
- Basic Math Skills – Necessary for measuring, calculating, and troubleshooting system configurations
