Field Service Technician - Albany, NY

Job Summary
Perform scheduled and remedial service on Small to Medium UPS, Power Distribution Units, and Battery systems for retail, financial, and municipal customers. Render on-site and phone assistance while communicating with technical support and implementing Field Change Notices. Maintain customer satisfaction by providing accurate time estimates and striving for a first-time fix. Complete administrative tasks including time cards, expense reports, and service documentation. Operate company vehicles safely, adhere to the 14-hour rule, and maintain inventory. Travel flexibly, including weekends and holidays, to meet on-site response time requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School or Vocational School Diploma
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to consistently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test prior to employment
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment background check
- Must be able to complete and pass a motor vehicle records check
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

- Candidates with temporary visas such as E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J, or TN or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for hire
Desired Qualifications
- ASEET or AMEET, or progress towards, is preferred
- 2-4 years military experience in a related technical field
- 0-2 years of relevant industry experience
