Job Summary
Field Service Technician responsible for developing, building, and installing application equipment, providing field support for AgroFresh products, and ensuring reliable operation of postharvest processes. Duties include assisting staff with technical issues on equipment, sourcing materials for installations, performing preventive maintenance, monitoring packing-house lines, optimizing fungicide/cleaner/coatings applications, verifying sanitation practices, implementing trials for new and current products, drafting monitoring reports, reviewing industry practices, maintaining relationships with customers and distributors, and training distributor personnel. Occasional overnight travel and early/late hours are required. Requires AA or technical degree (or equivalent experience), mechanical fabrication skills (including welding), PLC programming/troubleshooting, and proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel; a clean driving record is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- AA or Technical degree, work experience considered in lieu of degree
- Mechanical aptitude for application equipment installations and repair
- Fabrication skills, cutting, and welding
- PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Computer literate including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Clean driving record mandatory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- History of Customer and internal customer focus and success
