Field Service Technician

Job Summary
Conduct field service tasks, identify technical issues, and perform analysis through remote or on-site activity for certified service categories. Work with customers on-site to identify operational improvements and eliminate pain points. Prepare material lists, ensure parts and equipment availability, and execute commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on measurement and analytical equipment. Act as a trainer for field service associates and customers when needed. Requires 90% travel, valid passport and driver's license, and US work authorization. Located in West Texas with hybrid work model.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Technical Degree
- Associate's Degree
- High School Diploma
- 2+ Years of experience (with Bachelor's or Technical Degree)
- 5+ Years of experience (with Associate's Degree or High School Diploma)
- Strong technical background
- Technical skills in startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive, and unplanned maintenance of analytical products
- Experience with continuous gas analyzers
- Experience with gas chromatographs
- Ability to build strong customer relationships
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
- Customer service orientation
- Strong Computer skills including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 90% of the time
- Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid passport
- Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- Work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
