Job Summary
Demonstrate exceptional customer service while traveling to customer sites to conduct mechanical repairs and service on internal and external equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical issues on gasoline, LPG, electric, or diesel-powered forklifts, including replacing worn parts, adjusting brakes, and aligning wheels. Lubricate vehicles, perform heavy lifting, and operate power equipment while maintaining safe work habits. Complete paperwork to open and close work orders accurately to ensure appropriate processing and billing. Communicate effectively with supervisors and customers to build strong relationships and escalate issues as needed. Keep the service van clean and report any vehicle problems immediately.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Three to five years forklift/material handling technician experience
- Excellent driving record (as shown on current DMV report)
- Ability to drive company vehicle to customer sites
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and written
- Customer service attitude and aptitude
- Must be physically able to repetitively stoop, bend, push, pull, squat, climb, and kneel on a regular basis
- Must be able to physically operate power machinery, use hand tools, use air compressor tools, band saw and department grinder, steam cleaner and parts washer machines
- Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds unaided
- Must be physically able to operate / drive a company vehicle

- Expected to attend technical classes when offered by management
