Job Summary
Conduct mechanical repairs and service on gasoline, LPG, electric, or diesel-powered forklifts at customer sites, including replacing parts, adjusting brakes, aligning wheels, and performing heavy lifting. Troubleshoot mechanical issues, write job recommendations, and lubricate vehicles while maintaining a clean work van. Professionally communicate with customers and supervisors to build relationships and escalate issues as needed. Complete paperwork to open and close work orders accurately for billing, practice safe work habits, and attend technical classes when offered.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Three to five years forklift/material handling technician experience
- Excellent driving record (as shown on current DMV report)
- Ability to drive company vehicle to customer sites
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and written
- Customer service attitude and aptitude
- Must be physically able to repetitively stoop, bend, push, pull, squat, climb, and kneel on a regular basis
- Must be able to physically operate power machinery, use hand tools, use air compressor tools, band saw and department grinder, steam cleaner and parts washer machines
- Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds unaided
- Must be physically able to operate / drive a company vehicle

- Expected to attend technical classes when offered by management
