Job Summary
Diagnose malfunctions in electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks by reading work orders and listening to equipment operation. Perform mechanical repairs after inspecting breakdowns, lubricating moving parts, and verifying conformance to specifications. Communicate with customers to offer solutions, provide estimates, obtain signatures, and maintain professional van cleanliness. Track service van maintenance, schedule with operations, and return daily paperwork including work orders and fuel receipts. Submit time cards by 9:00 a.m. daily via telephone if dispatched from home. Protect customers, the depot, and the public while working across office, job site, and industrial locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- One to Three months related experience and/or training
- valid driver's license
- clean driving record
- knowledge of internet software
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
