Job Summary
Field Technician at Spectrum installs and repairs services and educates customers on usage. Entry-level role with training provided and opportunities for self-progression and career growth, including potential advancement to Field Technician II–IV with 10% increases per progression level and bonus coursework. Field Technicians work outdoors, travel to customer premises, and solve technical challenges in dynamic environments. Primary focus on staying active, solving problems, building relationships with customers and colleagues, and maintaining reliability and professionalism in all tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Schedule: Ability to travel (including during inclement weather) to and from assigned customer premises, company facilities and other locations as necessary
- Language: Fluent in English
- Technical skills: Proficiency in using computers and software applications. Competent in using hand tools
- Valid Driver’s license with safe driving record within company standards required
- Physical: Walk over various terrains and weather conditions while carrying tools and equipment. Safely use weight-bearing equipment (up to 345 lbs) and lift up to 75 lbs. Climb ladders up to 32 feet and work in confined spaces and at heights
- Operate and navigate a company vehicle in changing environments
