Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet including aerial work platforms, construction tools, generators, pumps, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime. Work in challenging remote locations while troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems, utilizing mechanic's tools as needed. Maintain a valid driver's license and adhere to safety protocols while bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds indoors and outdoors. This role supports Sunbelt Rentals' growth as the fastest-growing rental business in North America, offering extensive on-the-job training and a career track toward service or operation management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- 21 years of age
- CDL license (in some locations)
Desired Qualifications
- Some trade school or equivalent training
- 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment)
