Job Summary
Field Service Technician role with Invenergy involves performing major component replacements and repairs across the Invenergy fleet, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, training site personnel on safety and maintenance, leading teams through component replacements, and producing reports and procedures. Requires travel away from home in 4-week blocks with a 1-week off period. Candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of technical experience in renewable energy systems; strong preference for multi-platform experience, safety-focused work ethic, ability to troubleshoot using software tools, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Must be able to work outdoors in varying conditions, lift up to 265 lbs with gear, climb ladders, and hold US work authorization without employer sponsorship now or in the future. Base pay range is $32.49-$52.97/hour plus potential bonuses; total compensation may include additional benefits. Role is full-time and based from a home office in Texas with 4-week travel rotations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Two (2) years technical experience and/or technical education related to renewable energy systems
- Experience in multiple platforms strongly preferred
- Ability to effectively use software systems to troubleshoot issues
- Ability to work safely, with limited supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office products
- Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance
- Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 lbs.)
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet)
- Weight must not exceed 129 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
