Job Summary

Field Service & Technical Support Technician to support Primex control solutions for municipal and wastewater applications. Responsibilities include field startup, commissioning, testing, servicing installed systems, and assisting customers with hardware, software, controls, instrumentation, and system operation. When not in the field, duties include QA testing of control panels and providing technical support to customers via phone and email. Collaborates with project managers, engineers, programmers, contractors, end users, and internal teams to deliver reliable control system solutions and a positive customer experience. Requires experience with control systems testing/troubleshooting/startup/commissioning, PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, electrical drawings, and strong communication skills; able to manage multiple priorities and maintain documentation; capable of working independently in the field. Hours are Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm with travel as needed; benefits include PTO and holidays; locations are Largo, FL or Ashland, OH with a hybrid remote option.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with control systems testing, troubleshooting, startup, commissioning, field service, or technical support
  • QA testing, panel checkout, or factory testing of control panels or similar equipment
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, soft starters, instrumentation, or other industrial control system components
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for professional interaction with customers, contractors, end users, and internal teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records, case notes, and service reports
  • Ability to work independently in the field while aligning with project, customer, and department needs
  • Attention to detail and customer service mindset
  • Willingness to travel for field service duties
