Job Summary
Field Service Technicians are expected to perform service, testing, and maintenance of power transmission and distribution equipment, including low, medium, and high voltage systems up to 500kV. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical systems, conducting inspections and repairs on various electrical equipment such as transformers and circuit breakers, and operating high voltage test equipment. Candidates must adhere to safety procedures and possess strong theoretical knowledge of electricity. Effective communication, customer service skills, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office are also essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED and relevant work experience
- NETA Level II/III/IV Certification based on the level applied for
- Theoretical understanding of electricity
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and peers
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with high voltage equipment
- Knowledge of industry standards like NETA, NEC, OSHA, NFPA
- Military training in related electrical fields
